TRAVEL ADVISORY TO THE NEW BATCH (2026-30) OF B.TECH STUDENTS:

It is highly encouraged to travel by flight either from Kolkata or Guwahati due to frequent landslide/blockade on the highways. The institute is located at Mantripukhri near Manipur High Court, Imphal (capital city of Manipur). The nearest Airport is Imphal Airport and it is 12 km distance from the institute and nearest railway stations are Guwahati & Dimapur. The distances from the Institute are 450 km & 190 km respectively.

Candidate coming by air:

Usually, an Inner Line Permit (ILP) is required for individuals from other Indian states to enter Manipur. However, candidates are advised to present their Provisional Seat Allotment Letter to officials at the Imphal Airport terminal in lieu of the ILP. Further, the institute will provide hourly bus services from Imphal Airport to the campus on August 16 and 17, 2026. Volunteers from the institute will be stationed within a 30-meter radius of the airport to assist and guide you. The private Taxi/Autos are also available at the Imphal Airport or outside the Airport. The details are given below:

The nearest railway stations are Guwahati & Dimapur. The distances from the Institute are 450 km & 190 km respectively and approximate time required to reach the institute are 16 hours and 7 hours respectively. The bus stop for IIIT Senapati, Manipur is Toll Gate, Mantripukhri / Manipur Information Technology Park. The institute is just opposite the Toll Gate.
