The Indian Institute of Information Technology Senapati, Manipur is an institute of national importance established by an act of parliament in 2015 under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. • IIIT Manipur and Anna University Chennai have signed a MoU on 26^th February 2024 to establish a Drone Pilot Training School at IIIT Manipur.

• Director, IIIT Manipur has reviewed the MoU with University of North Texas, USA and had interaction to strengthen the bilateral cooperation with Prof. Kinshuk (Dean, College of Information), Ms. Amanda Bennet (Director, Interanational Relations) and other professors on 27^th November 2023.
• IIIT Manipur is awarded a 5G Lab by the Government of India on October 27, 2023 and is one among the 100 institutes awarded all over India.
• Director attended the review of PMG projects online meeting pertaining to the new campus of IIIT Senapati at Mayangkhang, Kangpokpi district on 16^th October 2023 at 11:00 AM.
• IIIT Manipur donated one day salary of its employees (a sum of ₹ 1 Lakh) to "Governor's Relief Fund" for the relief and rehabilitation of displaced people in Manipur on 4^th October 2023.
