The Indian Institute of Information Technology Senapati, Manipur is an institute of national importance established by an act of parliament in 2015 under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The objective of the institute is to develop a technology and manpower for Information Technology related industries and make Manipur as a preferred destination for providing IT-related services and gateway to South-East Asia. more...

• Scholarship: 100 Scholarships for students of IIIT Manipur provided under "PM-YASASVI - Top class College Education scheme for OBC, EBC & DNT" by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, GoI, with full tuition fee, non-refundable charges along with stipend and assistance for living expenses, books, stationaries, computer, and accessories.
• Scholarship: "Scholarship Scheme for Higher Education of Scheduled Tribe (ST) students" by Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GoI covers IIIT Manipur to provide full tuition fee, admission fee and non-refundable charges along with stipend and allowances for books, stationaries, computer, and accessories.

• Dr Nagesh Ch, HoD ECE and Ms. Aditi Mishra 5th sem, ECE, student (selected on all India basis by DoT- GoI with full funding) have attended the India Mobile Congress 2024, held at New Delhi from 15^th till 18^th October 2024.
• Congratulations to Mr. Udit and Mr. Vinayak Sinha, students of 3rd Year BTech CSE, on being selected for summer internship at IIT Madras, which may lead to VII and VIII Semester Exchange, and direct PhD admissions at IIT Madras.
• One day Workshop on "Indigenous Development of Semiconductor Materials and Devices for Viksit Bharat", 13^th March, 2024 at IIIT Manipur
• IIIT Manipur and TelecommunicationsConsultants India Limited (TCIL) New Delhi have signed a MoU on 1^st March 2024 for setting up 5G use case lab.
• IIIT Manipur and Anna University Chennai have signed a MoU on 26^th February 2024 to establish a Drone Pilot Training School at IIIT Manipur.
• Director and faculties of IIIT Manipur participated the inauguration of "Viksit Bharat @2047 : Voice of Youth" on 11^th December, 2023 at Raj Bhavan, Manipur.
• Director, IIIT Manipur has reviewed the MoU with University of North Texas, USA and had interaction to strengthen the bilateral cooperation with Prof. Kinshuk (Dean, College of Information), Ms. Amanda Bennet (Director, Interanational Relations) and other professors on 27^th November 2023.
• IIIT Manipur is awarded a 5G Lab by the Government of India on October 27, 2023 and is one among the 100 institutes awarded all over India.
• Director attended the review of PMG projects online meeting pertaining to the new campus of IIIT Senapati at Mayangkhang, Kangpokpi district on 16^th October 2023 at 11:00 AM.
• IIIT Manipur donated one day salary of its employees (a sum of ₹ 1 Lakh) to "Governor's Relief Fund" for the relief and rehabilitation of displaced people in Manipur on 4^th October 2023.
• The 5^th meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) of IIIT Manipur was held on 4^th October 2023.
• Director, Faculties and Staff of IIIT Manipur welcomed the new Chairman, Board of Governors (BoG) Dr. Sukhi Oraon on 3^rd October 2023.
• Director IIIT Manipur attended the virtual meeting with the Secretary, Higher Education, GoI to discuss several agendas on 19^th September 2023
• AG audit inspection of the Institute for the year 2022-23 has been completed and the auditors handed over the report to the Director on 13^th September 2023.
• B.Tech 1^st year admissions and induction program completed.
• MoU signed between IIT Madras and IIIT Manipur on 18^th August 2023 to conduct bilateral academic and research activities.
• Director IIIT Manipur attended the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2023 held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on 29^th July 2023. The faculties & staff also participated the Samagam virtually.
• IIIT Manipur & Islamic University of Science & Technology, Kashmir signed MoU on 17^th July 2023 to conduct joint research & academic activities.
• Director, IIIT Manipur has signed a Bilateral MoU with Kashmir University on 14^th July 2023.
